Services

Freephone

You can telephone your orders to us on our freephone 0800 146 992 from 8am until 5pm Monday to Friday.  The answer phone will take messages from you should you call out of normal office hours.  If you are a whiz with the computer then you can send an order on info@labontltd.com and we will manage the order over the internet for you.  If you are really good you could scan in and attach your new template as and when appropriate.

Prescription service

For every order we forward to you we need to get a prescription on your behalf.  Many customers like us to request and collect their prescription which means that you only have to telephone us once and we can do the rest for you.  In the early days many customers have other priorities and it is often comforting to know that this task is taken care of quickly and easily.

However, once you are out and about again you may wish to order and collect your own prescription and forward it to us in a free pre-paid envelope.

Customisation

Prior to delivering your order to you we can cut your bags/flanges to the correct size for your particular stoma thereby ensuring a good fit and less chance of causing skin irritation.  When you are first taken on to our books we will ask for an up to date template from either you or your Stoma Care Nurse to ensure that all the bags we cut for you will fit you properly.

Free Home Delivery

We can deliver to you direct at home in an unmarked car with a driver who you will come to know or we can post goods to you via DHL in a discreet package next day.  Many customers choose to continue with our services when they move and therefore they request a postal service.

Nurse Support

Sister Anne Evans has been a member of the Labont team for the past nine years and she has vast experience in the field of Stoma Care.  For much of her career Anne worked as a Stoma Care and Breast Care nurse in West Lancashire.  Predominantly Anne takes care of patients when they are newly discharged from hospital which can be a time of anxiety.  As a non NHS nurse Anne can spare time for extra visits if they're required as NHS nurses are limited to the amount of home visits they can perform.  It is worth mentioning that lots of Nurses do hold their own hospital/community based weekly clinics; you could ask your local Stoma Care Service provider about this or take a look at our contact page for more details.

The Future

In the future most prescriptions will be accessed by al NHS Contractors on-line and in order to keep up with technology we are investing in the very latest equipment and databases. On-line prescriptions will speed up the process of obtaining your supplies and reduce the amount of administration for your supplier.  It will always be possible to ask for a familiar green prescription token but it may be far easier for you to ask for a 12 month repeat prescription from Labont Ltd.

To facilitate the move towards on-line prescriptions we will require all our customers to nominate us as their preferred Dispensing Appliance Contractor.  Usually a customer would nominate a particular pharmacy for their medication and a DAC for their appliances.  Nomination is not at all complicated and just means that you will need to tell your GP who you would prefer to provide your appliances and your medications.  Nomination is a one off procedure and shouldn't cause you any problems.   If you decide to change suppliers then you can do this quickly and easily.

NHS Connecting for Health are producing literature which will be available to all customers so that they can understand more about nomination.  Labont will have leaflets available upon request and will also forward a leaflet to all our current customers.

Labont Ltd is an Independant Dispensing Appliance Contractor which means that we can dispense any product from the Drug Tariff that can be used for Ostomy management.  We are also part of two trade associations INDAC (Independent Dispensing Appliance Contractors) and BHTA (British Health Trades Association) and as such we are governed by their codes of practice.
